Adventure for today
Running up and down the wheelchair ramp is one of my son's favorite things to do at church. Unfortunately this part of our Sunday routine caused a bit of family adventure today when he slipped, banging his head on the metal edge. As Daddy held him while he cried, we realized blood was spreading from his head to daddy's cheek and sweater. I kind of freeze up at the sight of blood, fortunately there were others more capable to inspect the bump on his head. With so much blood, the source of the wound was hard to find. So with gauze bandaged around his head we started for emergency, not wanting to take any chances with a head injury. I worried and prayed, while playing cars beside a pale little boy. By the time we reached the hospital, the bleeding had stopped. The doctor said he would be fine after examining the injury. Very thankful nothing more serious came from this bump on the head.
